Veeam Backup and Replication 9.5 update 3 was introduced agents management. An earlier blog post “Managing The Previously Unmanageable Veeam Agents” covered discovery and protection of the agents, this post is a quick start for doing agent management from the Veeam Backup server.
What does the Backup Copy Job do?
It uses the backup files in an existing Veeam Backup Repository as a source to create a new set of backup files in a secondary repository.
3-2-1-0: 3 copies of the data, 2 independent media, 1 offsite and 0 errors on recovery. It’s common sense, it doesn’t even need to be said. Veeam has introduced some new and powerful Agents to cover the workloads that sit where Veeam Backup and Replication cannot reach. The thing is that although you can send the agent data to a cloud connect to service provider, by themselves, it is tricky to have the agents cover all of 3-2-1-0. Continue reading
